Staci Duenn is the Program Leader of Student Services at Summit School. She began working at Summit School as a paraprofessional, originally with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Recreation from Illinois State University. Two Master’s degrees, time spent as a special education teacher in the classroom, and a couple office moves later, Ms. Duenn is now one of Summit School’s three-person leadership team. In this role, her goal is to ensure that all the students Summit serves have an appropriate individualized program to meet their educational needs. This may include proper modifications and accommodations to classwork and professional development opportunities for Summit's staff members to continue providing research-based practices. In her role, Ms. Duenn also continues to develop a personal rapport with both students and staff members to ensure all stakeholders can safely and openly communicate what they need to continue to be successful. If Ms. Duenn is not at school or attending a conference or webinar for school, you can probably find her out in the garage continuing her newly developed hobby of wood working!
