Nancy Bell is the Program Leader of Student Supports at Summit School. Her path to this position started at Illinois State University with a major in Psychology, but a twist which led her to special education. Mrs. Bell started as her career as a paraprofessional at St. Charles East High School and fell in love with everything education.She returned to school to get her Master of Arts in special education from National Louis University and landed her first job at Summit School. She spent 10 years teaching, primarily in the high school, before returning to school once more to earn a Master of Arts in education administration. As a Program Leader, Mrs. Bell’s days keep her on her toes. She finds her role rewarding as she works with students who are struggling, collaborates with staff to meet the needs of the students, and teams with the BCBA about students needs, and juggles a multitude of other duties that could fill this page.
