Patterns

A, B, C. Dog, Cat, Bird. Red, White, Blue. Repeat.

Developing patterns is a challenging task which helps develop the thinking area of the brain. A child’s brain focuses on patterns.

Here's an easy place to start teaching your child patterns. Give your child dry round cereal and pasta noodles. Have them string the cereal and noodles on a clean string of any kind. Have them put on one noodle then one piece of cereal to create a pattern. They can then create different patterns on a different string like a 2-1 pattern or a 2-2 pattern or they can create their own pattern.
